Beer Bread - Almost too easy

Beer Bread - just delicious
Nigella once said, where is bread there is love - and I agree 100%. Breadmaking is an act of love for me. It takes time, dedication and skill to make a lovely loaf of bread....right????

Ahem, not really. This bread is sooo easy, I am almost embarrassed to admit it. What you need??? 330ml Beer 400g Self Raising Flour 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar Yeap - that's it.

Preheat your oven to 180C. Mix the flour with the salt and sugar (if using a dry beer, use more sugar). Pour in as much beer as you need to make a gloopy mixture - too wet to knead. Line a loaftin with parchment paper and pour the mixture in and bake for about 40 mins or until it sounds hollow when you knock on the bottom of the bread.

And yes, that really is all there is to say about this bread. I made it with Turkish beer Efet which is a bit on the sweet side - will try it with stout next time. The finished product is light and fluffy beer with a slight earthy flavour to it.

Bon Appetit
